Seek Institute

Who we are:

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to mental health and social justice. We connect individuals and communities to culturally competent mental health services, with a focus on creating access for groups that typically face barriers to care. The formation of this non-profit was driven by the following beliefs:

1) Every individual deserves the same opportunity to receive
quality, evidence-based mental health care,

2) Mental health is a community responsibility, and

3) Wellness grows out of trusting relationships.

What we do:

We partner with our communities to offer care from mental health providers that centers around:
Healing- Offering therapeutic services for individuals through culturally responsive mental health care
Empowerment- Giving voice to our communities through restorative practices
Connection- Building relationships with individuals, families, and communities through trust and collaboration.

How we do it:

We provide access to direct services by mental health professionals, including individual, group, and family therapy as well as restorative practices. Seek Institute brings mental health providers to communities through innovative programs and partnerships. We are also outcomes oriented and dedicated to increasing awareness of effective mental health care.

Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:

Seek Institute plays an active part in the process of healing and systemic change through social activism and a strong commitment to antiracism. We promote empowerment through the use of restorative practices in communities. We are committed to challenging systems that were designed to keep black, indigenous and people of color (BIPOC) at a disadvantage or worse. We will promote equity and inclusivity in access to services.

Our Mission:

Seek Institute promotes mental health equity in communities. We provide access to mental health resources that are beneficial and meaningful to people.
